60 Minutes lands 1st interview with President-elect Donald Trump

60 Minutes has landed the first extensive interview with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.

Lesley Stahl will interview Trump on Friday at his home in New York City about the election, CBS announced Thursday.

Stahl will also speak to Trump’s family, including incoming first lady Melania Trump and his eldest children: Ivanka, Tiffany, Eric and Donald Jr.

60 Minutes will broadcast the interview on Sunday night.

Landing the coveted first interview has become somewhat of a recent tradition for the venerable broadcast newsmagazine. Barack Obama sat down with 60 Minutes first after being elected president and again following his reelection. He appeared most recently in October 2015.

Trump and Mike Pence, the vice-president-elect, gave their first interview together on 60 Minutes in July.

The president-elect met with President Obama on Thursday at the White House.
